Eighteen leading figures from the UK’s advertising, design and music industries have started their journey on a prestigious leadership programme for the creative industries run by the Cultural Leadership Programme and leading business school Ashridge. The programme has been developed in partnerhsip with CC Skills, The Design Council and the IPA.
The participants first unique learning day was led by Greg Dyke, Chairman of the British Film Institute, with many more leading figures to offer their experience over the forthcoming weeks.
Advanced Leadership in the Creative Industries, which will run from March to July, is a specially developed modular programme to help senior executives to cope in an uncertain economic climate. They will have the chance to hear the latest thinking on leading innovation and change, get the perspectives of high-profile speakers working both within and outside the creative industries and get involved in a series of challenging and engaging practical tasks.
David Kershaw, Chairman of the Cultural Leadership Programme, said:
“Leading in this sector is about managing the inherent risk of failure in the quest for creative brilliance. We are delighted to be working with Ashridge to offer this course. It will give senior executives in advertising, music and design access to the same quality of support as their counterparts in other areas of business in a way which draws out their creativity.”
